Today we’d like to introduce you to Tai Phan.
Hi Tai, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
My father and mother were born and raised in Vietnam. Like many immigrants, they moved to the U.S. in search of a better life for their families. Watching them start over from scratch, learn a completely new language, and having to acclimate to American customs, instilled the values of dedication and sacrifice in me.
Being the youngest of three siblings, my older sisters instilled the qualities of love, compassion, and selflessness. I’ve used these core values to motivate and push me toward my goals. My passion for becoming a Realtor®️ began when I bought, renovated, and sold my first home in Dallas, TX. For me, being a Realtor®️ is not just about helping people buy a big ticket item, it’s about being able to interact with clients and being a part of their journey of finding the perfect home.
Since my last interview with Orlando Voyager, I have transitioned my real estate business into the luxury market. The luxury market is more than just extravagant properties; it tells the success stories of individuals who have achieved the ability to purchase million-dollar properties through hard work, sacrifices, and determination. My clients have worked tirelessly for years, building careers or businesses, and making strategic financial decisions to create wealth. They have endured long hours, taken risks, and made sacrifices along the way to reach a point where they can afford these high-end properties.
One of the many reasons why I love the luxury market is that it serves as an inspiration for others, demonstrating that with determination, resilience, and a clear vision, it is possible to achieve extraordinary goals. These success stories showcase that anything is possible, encouraging individuals to pursue their dreams and work towards financial success. I consider myself lucky to be a part of my amazing clients’ journies and honored to help them achieved an incredible milestone in their lives.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Absolutely not! Getting into the luxury real estate market is a challenge and a major transition, and above all, it’s scary. It demands experience, knowledge, patience, and passion. As someone who is still learning, I turn to successful Luxury Realtors®️ with proven track records in this market to absorb their wisdom and learn from their expertise. A special thank you to Miranda Cady – founder of Cadence Lifestyle Real Estate and Benjamin Hillman – LPT Luxury Collection for being that mentor. Their experience gives me a deep understanding of the unique dynamics and nuances of the luxury market, providing valuable insights that can only be gained through firsthand experience.
The luxury market has its own market trends, pricing and negotiation strategies, marketing techniques, and effective approaches to serving trusting clients. The process of finding, marketing, and closing deals involving high-end properties takes a considerable amount of time. I constantly have to remind myself that I need to have patience. In addition, remain focused, diligently work throughout the transaction process, and handle any challenges or setbacks that may arise and learn from them.
“Sometimes you win, sometimes you learn.” – John C. Maxwell
Passion will always be my driving force in this market. It fuels my motivation, dedication, and commitment to excellence. I’m not going to lie, there were many times I wanted to quit.
However, my father always told me, “Nothing is guaranteed in life. If you want something, you have to go and get it. Nothing is handed to you. You must write your own success story.” The core values embedded in my upbringing pushed me to keep going. Most importantly, I wouldn’t be where I am today without my amazing wife’s love, support, and sacrifices. She understood how much this meant to me and the passion I have for real estate. Her patience and words of encouragement will always be the additional fuel that will take me across the finish line.
Thank you, Ba, Ma, Lisa, Katie, and my lovely wife! All of you will always be my motivation to succeed.
As you know, we’re big fans of Realtors®️ with LPT Realty, Inc. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a Luxury Realtor®️ and I help my clients sell or buy properties. I specialize in residential properties with a focus on luxury real estate. Being a Realtor®️, you have to wear multiple hats: negotiator, trusted advisor, interior designer, and expert in the housing market. Based upon the reviews of my clients that I am very thankful for, I am known for being patient, understanding, and honest.
I do my very best to guide my clients through every step of the process, answering any questions, day or night. I’m more than willing to go beyond my professional requirements in helping my clients with any logistics they need assistance with. I’m happy it shows that I care deeply about my work. Purchasing or selling a home can be a very stressful and chaotic journey. From selling their homes thousands of dollars over asking to buy homes under market value, the proudest moments I’ve had are when my clients have crossed the finish line and are 100% happy and confident with their decision.
What sets me apart from others is that I like to challenge my clients. I don’t ask about the standard buying or selling requirements. I ask thought-provoking questions, such as “Will this house match your lifestyle for the next 5-10 years and will it remain functional?” I want my clients to get exactly what they’re looking for, not just in the now, but for the future.
What was your favorite childhood memory?
Whenever I think back, my absolute favorite childhood memory would be the night my father came into my room before he headed to his graveyard shift and said to me…
“Nothing is guaranteed in life. If you want something, you have to go and get it. Nothing is handed to you. You must write your own success story.”
Growing up, I didn’t have many opportunities to see my father as he worked himself to the bone to support his family. However, I’ve always appreciated he took every chance, even if that meant a few minutes, to show love and support to those whom he holds close to his heart.
Love you, Ba!
