Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiffany Polite.
Hi Tiffany, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I was a retail junkie for over 20 plus years. While working one day at my last job I just remember having a corporate visit with so many high executive team members and other top performing store managers and although my store was in great shape it just was never good enough. All I remember is after the visit I went to lunch with my District Manager and told him I was resigning! Needless to say, he was in shock and asked me to think about it BUT I was so unhappy and knew that I had better in-store and this wasn’t it for me any longer. I wasmissign out on my son and his sporting activities, I was always working during holidays which cut into family time and not to mention missing church on Sundays so I had truly had enough. I had previously already taken my real estate classes but never took the state test because again my retail work schedule was so hectic however, that Monday following my conversation with my district manager I emailed my resignation letter and then immediately reached out to my previous professor to ask about the class schedule he provided me what I needed and I got back into real estate school ready to get my license. I knew this time was different for me… and looking back to where I am now… it was!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Heck NO! This road is NOT EASY. I just take great pictures to make it look that way… LOL. Many people think that it’s easy money and your paycheck has several zero’s so what’s the problem what they don’t see is the late nights the long hours, the tears, the calls with your parents, pastor, and friends that you need to hear so you keep you going when you want to give up because your deal fell apart and you don’t know where the next deal is coming from especially as a single mom. I always share my struggles because it has made me who I am. My test is my testimony. In my first year, I had to ask my parents to pay my bills for 2 months because I blew all my money starting up my business. That was such a humbling experience, however, they never said quit, they kept pushing me to keep going and just said how proud they are of me and now they clearly reap the benefits of my success but I love being able to spoil my family, give back and insert myself more into the community. I made a promise to GOD that if he blesses me in this new role I would do things a bit different than before. I kept my promise and he kept his. It brings tears to my eyes but having a strong support system is so important so so so important because there are days when everything falls together and days everything falls apart but remember it’s ok to take a break and regroup but just don’t quit.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I am a real estate professional and a real estate coach for La Rosa Realty Downtown Orlando. As a REALTOR, I assist families with their dreams of homeownership, assist investors with investment properties and or secondary homes, as well as help business owners obtain commercial real estate. As a real estate coach, I train, inspire and motivate new agents on their first 3 deals. I think what sets me apart from others is my ability to build a natural rapport with people from our initial meeting. I do thank my retail days for this. I am most proud of assisting clients who didn’t have hope and wanted to give up but stick with me and my team anywhere from 1 to 2 years and we finally get them into a home. I am a great cheerleader and love to spread good vibes and good energy to people, especially in the home buying process because the process can be so stressful. Plus, my favorite part of closing on a home with my clients is shopping for the closing gift. I am known for my Real Estate Word On Wednesday (this is when I provide real estate information about the market from the previous week) I am also known for my networking events and all my women empowerment gatherings that I host. I think showing love to other women is such a powerful trait and as the saying goes empowered women empower women. I want everyone to know or think of me as the girl that will do her best to make it happen, it may not happen right away but when my clients trust me and my guidance I will help them obtain their home-buying goals/dreams. I am with them from their initial buyer’s consultation all the way to the closing table.
Growing up I was a really shy child. I always hid behind my mom or my grandfather. I was not a people person at all. I was a tomboy who was into sports and all sporting activities. I didn’t come out of my shell until my 10th-grade year in high school when I tried out for cheerleading with my friend Nancy as a joke and I made the Varsity team, needless to say, my mom said ” well jokes on you” I truly fell in love with cheering and still do it to this day with everyone I encounter especially my clients and my new agents in my coaching program. Cheering them on and keeping them engaged is a big factor. This business makes you want to quit but when someone is in your corner you want to fight and not give up so I cheer both my clients and my agents through the entire process. All that being said, no one ever believes that I was shy because now I have demonstrated the gift of GAB and I am totally an extrovert now who LOVES fashion and dressing up. Truth be told, not many know this but I actually have my degree in fashion design and merchandising. Just a little fun fact.
