Today we’d like to introduce you to Tre’iLLi.
Hi Tre’iLLi, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Born and raised in Aurora, IL, which is a suburb of Chicago. I was a very shy kid, but outgoing once I got comfortable. My love for dance started with my mom. I knew she loved dancing, but I didn’t realize the type of impact she had until I heard stories from her closest friends after seeing me perform. Won a couple high school talent shows with the dance group I created with one of my best friends, Kim B, called Sick Wit’ It. We elevated from talent shows to performing on stage in events within the Black & Latino community in Aurora. Danced my way into the recording studio with D.Best, who featured me on his Mixtape. I then enlisted in the Marine Corps in 2008. 2010, I had an encounter and battled Ron the Great in Alexander’s nightclub. After that encounter became the start of my Chicago Footwork journey. At the time, he was starting his own chapter of Creation Global Footwork Crew in North Carolina. I was actually his first student that he started training in NC. We competed and won various competitions. Upon my discharge from the Marines, I continued to to train and in between time I would record music with a few friends that I kicked it with in the Marines and ended up creating a group called F.A.B with my homies, Mageo, Prettiboi, & Rena Mack. I moved to Orlando where I continued my musical journey with Trust Burn’Em while still traveling to and from Atlanta to continue training/performing/assisting classes in Chicago footwork with Ron. While I was in Atlanta, I connected with Miykal Snoddy through my father, who is a producer and artist by the name of P-MOE. I was witnessing recording sessions record and live performances with upcoming artists at that time VEDO & Natasha Mosley. I appeared and featured in an artist by the name of Freiberd’s music video and Coca Cola Campaign. I also was featured in Latto’s “No More Talking” BTS Vlog. Created Official iLLite to Vlog and capture my interactions with reality TV show stars and other celebrities that I encountered. 2017, I traveled to LA for my first tryout for Creation. Became a member in 2019. During Covid, I teamed up with Ola’Jouwon Fox to create iLLite Fotos and that introduced me to learning light production along with a lane in sports entertainment with WWE. I auditioned for the Orlando Magic’s 321 HYPE when the 2nd round of Covid came, but due to being required to have the Covid shot I could not participate that year just for a couple weeks after the season started the shot was no longer required. I auditioned the following season and I’ve been with the Magic for the past three seasons. I also work for the Pro Volleyball Federation team, Orlando Valkyries.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The road has been extremely bumpy! Finances, Medical issues, and LIFE were the struggles!
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m a multifaceted creative. I’m known for dancing, music, and production. I’m also known for being “the plug.”
I have introduced so many athletes, artists, and other creatives to not only each other but different things and people in the entertainment industry. And I believe that alone is what separates me from other people my network is bigger than my net worth the thing that I am most proud of is being able to take on challenges and accomplish them regardless of how long it takes for me to reach the finish line.
We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
Some folks didn’t realize that I was multifaceted with different talents and only knew me for one thing and not the other. We’d also may have a mutual friend in common and once they find out, I’d always hear, “Dang! You do everything and know everybody don’t you!?”
