Meet Trevor Joseph of Orlando, FL

Today we’d like to introduce you to Trevor Joseph

Hi Trevor, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I picked up a camera when I was 11 years old and started making my own films, and I began making music when I was 14 years old. I started writing lyrics to hip hop beats, and finding ways to record my own songs along with shooting and editing my own music videos. That was over 17 years ago. Today I do everything on my own. I make my beats, I write my lyrics, I record, mix and master my songs, I shoot and edit my music videos, designed my website, and book my own shows. I’d say I got to where I am today through passion and perseverance. For me creating art is a part of my lifestyle.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Sometimes the work becomes overwhelming, and it starts to feel like I’m taking all of these steps just to remain in the same place. For all the events I’ve missed with family and loved ones, all of the time I spend isolated during late nights of editing to finally release a project and have no one see it. It begins to feel redundant. But the people finally do see my work and actually enjoy it, it makes it all worth it.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a Hip Hop music artist, located in the Orlando, Florida area. I specialize in video production, and sound design. I recently dropped a 2 part project titled “Rise of The Gemini” making it my first official studio album of 24 songs all together where I’ve single handedly made each visual on my own. This project is the first time I’ve created using everything I can do. What sets me apart is my ability to put a full creative expression together, created by one artist; yours truly, from the ground all the way to the top. Demonstrating the Rise of me, a Gemini, born June 16, 1993.

In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
I think it will all become AI. As time goes on AI continues to get better and better. Soon people won’t care about how it was made or where it came from. In 5 to 10 years all of the instrumentals, music videos, and even the artist will eventually become AI generated. I believe I may become one of the last music artists creating using my own talents, and skills.
