Hi Veronica, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers?
Hi! My name is Veronica Mercado, I am from Puerto Rico and I have 30 years old. I’m a wife and a mother of 2 beautiful girls. I moved to the United States in 2016 looking for better opportunities for me and my family. Since then, I have work really hard in different industries, and little by little it got me where I am today. I am a Realtor at Iron Valley Real Estate Services in Orlando and I own and manage a Trucking Company called MAV Transportation LLC.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It was not a smooth road. One of my biggest struggles were that my daughters were babies at the time that we moved here, and I didn’t want to leave them with anyone so I started working 3rd shift and my husband 1st shift. It was a challenge so eventually, I was a stay-at-home mom. But that motivated me to open my own business.
