Today we’d like to introduce you to Yasmen Hunter.
Hi Yasmen, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I was working a conventional 9-5 full time as a paralegal for just over 5 years while I did my content creation and blogging as a part-time side hustle but then when my son was born, I felt like I was not able to spend a lot of time with him, I would leave to work as he woke up and I got home from work late and it was almost his bedtime, I truly felt like I was missing the biggest milestones and missing watching him grow every day. I was lucky enough to have my husband and mom watch him while I was at work so he wasn’t in daycare but deep down I just wanted to raise him, watch him learn new things and develop more of his personality, and just spend time with him while he was little (because it truly does fly by!) that is why I decided to take the leap and turn my content creation and blog into my career with a full-time income.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely wasn’t a smooth road, I was trying to build my blogging business while working full time at a mentally tough and draining job while running a home, being a wife, and taking care of two kids. I was bulk shooting content on weekends in between trying to do fun things with my family and then editing content, drafting blog posts, and responding to all business emails in the week after my kids went to bed. There were a few days I just didn’t think I could do it all but I persevered because, in my heart, I knew the reward would be worth it.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a motherhood and lifestyle blogger and content creator, most of my posts feature a lot of our family adventures all over Florida, mostly here in Central Florida, I also love to share pieces of my perspective on life, kids, marriage… with touches of creative inspiration & things I love along the way.
I am most proud of how I have built a platform of moms who relate to my content and how we have become so supportive of each other, and how I am able to find and work with brands and share products with my community that I believe will help make motherhood and life, in general, a little easier for everyone.
My overall goal is to empower a multi-passionate life while inspiring moms and their families to get out and experience the beauty of the world and live as the best possible versions of themselves and I think that is what sets me apart from others.
