Meet Zac Wolf of Orlando

Today we’d like to introduce you to Zac Wolf.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
When I moved to Boston, I realized photo booths at weddings made sense as a natural add-on to my photography services, so I launched The Danger Booth in 2014.

We spent the first couple years doing traditional weddings and parties, but around 2016 we pivoted hard into corporate work. That’s where we found our lane. Now we specialize in headshot lounges for conferences, conventions, corporate events, and brand activations. We’ve worked with Google, Amazon, Coca-Cola, and hundreds of companies in between.

Over 750 events under our belt.

Moved back to Florida in 2022 with my wife Becca (my co-founder and business partner). We’re focused on expanding that corporate event and brand activation space, especially in Orlando and nationally. The punk rock approach to professional headshots is what sets us apart. We don’t just show up and run a booth. We brainstorm with clients on how to make the experience actually matter for their event.

That’s the arc. DIY roots, wedding photography foundation, corporate pivot, and now building something that blends personality with professionalism.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Early on, the pivot from weddings to corporate events was a learning curve. We had to figure out what companies actually wanted versus what we thought they needed. Cold outreach didn’t magically work. We adjusted, learned, and kept moving.

Scaling operationally took some trial and error too. Managing multiple events across different cities meant hiring the right people and getting logistics dialed in. We’ve ironed most of that out.

Moving back to Florida in 2022 meant rebuilding our network, but that reset actually helped us get clearer on what we wanted to build. No real major disasters. Just the normal growing pains any business goes through.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
We run The Danger Booth. Core offering is the headshot lounge for corporate events. Conferences, conventions, association meetings, leadership summits. We set up a professional studio experience on-site and deliver high-quality headshots in minutes. Clients walk away with polished LinkedIn photos. Events get engagement and a memorable experience.

We also do standard photo booth rentals for weddings, parties, and brand activations.

What we’re known for: speed without sacrificing quality, and actually caring about how we fit into the event. We’re not just a vendor who shows up and runs equipment. We brainstorm with event managers on backdrop design, branding, how to position headshots as a draw. We’ve worked with Google, Amazon, HubSpot, and done this 750+ times.

Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs or other resources you think our readers should check out?
Honest answer? Not much formal stuff. I talk to other event vendors about what works. LinkedIn keeps me aware of what’s happening in the corporate event space.

We brainstorm constantly. That’s my best resource.

And I stay sharp by shooting. Whether it’s weddings or booth work, being hands-on matters more than reading about it.

Most business advice doesn’t apply to a two-person operation running photo booths anyway. I’d rather execute than read about execution.
