Nelxon Gomez of Ocoee on Life, Lessons & Legacy

Nelxon Gomez shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Good morning Nelxon, we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: Who are you learning from right now?
Everyone, there is something to learn from every single conversation.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
e’re Maria and Nelxon Gomez, the husband-and-wife team behind Rivon Creations. We officially founded our company in January 2024, but the truth is, this has been our shared passion project for years.

At our core, we’re not just a business; we’re a creative journey. We love to blend modern technology—specifically 3D printing—with the timeless beauty of contemporary art. We’re on a mission to show people that 3D printing isn’t just for technical gadgets; it’s a powerful tool for creating stunning, high-quality art and functional designs that can truly transform a space.

What makes us unique is our hands-on approach and our personal story. Everything we create, from striking home decor to innovative business solutions, is born from our shared vision. We pour our hearts into every piece, ensuring it’s not just a product, but a work of art that feels special and brings joy to the people who own it. We’re incredibly excited about what we’re creating and can’t wait to share our passion with you.

Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
The most significant relationship that has shaped who we are, both personally and professionally, is our own—as husband and wife. Sharing a life together is a beautiful journey filled with joy and its own set of challenges. Adding the dynamic of running a business on top of that has been an incredible learning experience. It’s taught us how to not only navigate our personal lives but also how to seamlessly blend our creative ideas and visions.

We’ve learned that a business isn’t just about products; it’s about the people behind them. Our relationship is the foundation of Rivon Creations. It’s what allows us to transform a simple idea into a masterpiece, all while remembering to enjoy the process. We believe that our collaborative spirit and shared passion are what make our work truly special.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Absolutely, there have been many times. As any entrepreneur knows, the journey is filled with a lot of hills and valleys. Not every day feels like a win, and there are moments where you question if you can keep going. But we’ve learned that you can’t rely on motivation alone.

There were times when the long hours and the challenges of balancing our personal and business lives felt overwhelming. However, in those moments when motivation was low, our discipline and commitment to each other and to our vision took over. We’d remind ourselves of why we started—our passion for creating something beautiful and unique. That discipline has been the driving force that gets us through the toughest times and keeps us moving forward, one step at a time.

Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
Our closest friends would likely say that what really matters to us is success, but not in the way most people think of it. It’s an ambiguous word, but for us, it’s not about money or fame. It’s about a deep, personal sense of fulfillment.

For us, success is the feeling we get every time we go to bed at night, knowing we gave our all that day. It’s about feeling realized and knowing we’re actively working to leave the world a little better than we found it. We believe that if we can create pieces that bring joy, beauty, and innovation into someone’s life, then we’ve achieved our true measure of success.

Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. Are you doing what you were born to do—or what you were told to do?
Neither, actually. We don’t believe we were born to do any single thing, but we know the purpose for our lives right now: to create and to share. We are doing what we have chosen to do, and what truly makes us happy.

For us, the beauty of life comes from seeing others enjoy theirs. When we create a piece of art or a functional design, we’re not just making an object; we’re bringing a piece of joy or innovation into someone’s world. That feeling—of seeing our work resonate with others—is what motivates us and makes every day feel incredibly purposeful.
