Today we’d like to introduce you to Albrielle McFadden.
Hi Albrielle, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I have been dancing since I was three years old, so 20 years! I have danced competitively, been a background dancer and as well as performed in multiple dance concerts. Today, I am currently dancing with AlonzoWill Dance Creative Dance Company, taking choreography classes weekly, and teaching contemporary classes.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely has not been a smooth road. I’ve had moments where I would question if I was on the right path and been discouraged. Fortunately, with the help of God. my family, and friends, I’ve been able to push myself to continue to pursue my passion.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a dancer who specializes in contemporary and hip-hop. I am known for mainly contemporary dance because that is my strongest style and the style that I teach the most. I am proud that I have been able to impact those around me through dance. What sets me apart from others is that when I teach and execute movement, I encourage emotions and storytelling through the body and understanding that you can communicate through movement. I am currently focusing on building my craft by doing things such as creating and directing concept videos and just showcase my passion for the art of dance.
We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
I personally have not taken a risk…yet. But honestly, taking risk are a beautiful thing because of the outcome, regardless whether it’s good or bad, you have an answer that will direct you to the next step.
