Today we’d like to introduce you to Ana Marín.
Hi Ana, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
Hello, my name is Ana, and I am the founder of “The Clay tree,” a brand that creates art pieces using polymer clay.”
My story started with my maternity, I wanted to find the time for me to create and make something different… I studied fashion design and painting; I see myself as a creator and as an artist. Working with my hands, it’s what I like the most, painting, designing, crafting, and creating original ideas.
I thought about things I could do as well as being there for my son, I started to search for something original and also something I enjoy doing and how much time it could take me, and that’s when I found polymeric clay) the most beautiful option. At the beginning, I didn’t think it was going to be such a change, but with the time I realize it’s not just about creativity but also about the technic I had learn to create great things with this material.
I stared to study the market, the process, tools, and of course to practice.
I am a mother and also, I am the creator of this incredible brand that has given me the time to reinvent myself.
Thanks to my son I could see the many amazing things I can do, how I can organize my own time and keep working hard to grow this business that has been a journey to full of lessons and most important enjoy my role as a mother.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Starting with a new business will always have obstacles or new things to learn to be a mother, and at the same time having my business is a challenge. Also, learn from a new technique and tool.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a costume design, I studied at the Bolivarian Pontifical University in Medellín Colombia; I also worked 10 years as a model in Medellín
