Today we’d like to introduce you to Angela Ufuoma Lloyd
Hi Angela ufuoma, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My name is Angela Ufuoma Lloyd, and my journey has been one of resilience, determination, and an unwavering commitment to giving back. Growing up in Nigeria, I faced challenges when my parents could not afford my education. However, I saw myself through school, taking my first job at a cyber café called Umudom in Abaraka, Delta State. Although I was initially admitted to Novena University, financial constraints led me to pursue my education at Ozoro Polytechnic, where I completed my program before earning my bachelor’s degree at Delta State University in Abraka.
In 2011, I moved to the United States with big dreams and a strong work ethic. I worked in banking for over fifteen years, gaining valuable experience in customer service, leadership, and finance. Additionally, I gained retail management experience, which further developed my understanding of business operations and team leadership. My professional journey also includes working with the Gwinnett County Department, where I contributed to maintaining community safety and infrastructure through roles that required problem-solving and citizen engagement.
At the same time, I pursued my passion for entrepreneurship and social media, officially registering my women’s clothing business, Auedcollections, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in 2018. What truly drives me is creating a business that not only empowers women through fashion but also serves as a platform to give back. I have built my social media presence with an amazing, supportive community, and I am intentional about using my platform to inspire others. Whether it is collaborating with other creatives, supporting small businesses, or encouraging women to feel confident and beautiful, I am focused on making a positive impact.
As I continue to grow Auedcollections, I am working to ensure my business remains community-centered. From offering opportunities for collaborations to using my platform to spotlight important causes, my goal is to uplift others and contribute meaningfully. I want to create a space where my community feels valued and supported, knowing they are part of something bigger than just a clothing brand.
Today, I am proud to wear many hats—entrepreneur, influencer, wife to Nollywood actor Daniel Lloyd, and mother to my incredible son, Enoch. As I prepare to launch my new website and explore exciting projects, I remain deeply committed to using my journey to inspire and support others.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has not been a smooth road, but every challenge has shaped my journey and contributed to my growth. Balancing my roles as a banker, student, entrepreneur, and mother has been demanding, especially as I worked to provide for myself and my family while pursuing higher education.
Financial constraints made navigating my academic and career goals challenging, but I stayed committed and resourceful. Transitioning into entrepreneurship with AUED Collections, my women’s clothing business, came with its own hurdles, from understanding market trends to building a brand identity.
Even in my influencer and content creation work, staying consistent, navigating algorithms, and meeting deadlines has tested my perseverance. My experience as a traffic analyst and working with companies like Jackson EMC and Georgia Power also required me to adapt to new environments and responsibilities quickly.
However, these struggles have taught me resilience, discipline, and the importance of faith. I have learned to celebrate progress over perfection and trust that with hard work and determination, anything is possible.

Over the years, I have built a diverse career that spans banking, public service, and entrepreneurship. My expertise lies in delivering exceptional customer service, fostering meaningful relationships, and creating solutions that positively impact lives. Having worked with institutions such as PNC Bank, Trust Bank, and FCCU Credit Union, I have specialized in understanding financial needs and providing tailored support to meet them.
In my role as a traffic analyst and through collaborations with Jackson EMC, Walton EMC, and Georgia Power, I refined my skills in public safety and infrastructure management, addressing concerns such as streetlight maintenance and roadway safety. I am proud to have made a tangible difference in my community through these roles.
What sets me apart is my ability to adapt and innovate. As the founder of AUED Collections, I have transitioned into entrepreneurship, combining my passion for fashion with a commitment to empowering women through stylish and accessible designs. I also leverage my experience as an influencer to connect with diverse audiences, building authentic relationships with brands and followers alike.
What I am most proud of is my resilience and passion for growth. From navigating challenges to embracing new opportunities, I strive to approach every role and responsibility with a mindset of excellence and purpose. Each position I have taken has allowed me to leave a meaningful impact, and that is what continues to drive me every day.
Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
What makes me happy is knowing that I am making a positive impact in the lives of others while pursuing my passions. Whether it’s through my work, personal relationships, or creative endeavors, seeing the results of my efforts bring joy or relief to someone else fills me with a deep sense of purpose and fulfillment.
I find happiness in small moments, like helping a customer solve a problem, hearing how a product from AUED Collections made someone feel confident and beautiful, or watching my son achieve something he’s been working toward. These moments remind me why I do what I do and inspire me to keep pushing forward.
Another source of happiness is growth—both personal and professional. Overcoming challenges, learning new skills, or stepping outside of my comfort zone brings me a sense of accomplishment and shows me how far I’ve come.
Lastly, my faith and family are central to my happiness. Spending time with loved ones and trusting that God has a plan for my life keeps me grounded and filled with gratitude. These are the pillars that keep me going and remind me of what truly matters.
I thank God for everything. His grace has carried me through every challenge and triumph, shaping the path I walk today.
Two of my greatest sources of strength and inspiration are my mother and my 12-year-old son. My mother is the most amazing woman in the world—her resilience, wisdom, and unwavering support have guided me through life’s ups and downs. She has taught me the value of perseverance, faith, and hard work.
My son, in his own special way, carries that same spirit. He reminds me daily, ‘Mom, you’re my queen; you are very strong with a man’s power inside of you.’ Even on days when I don’t feel like editing or posting, he encourages me, saying, ‘Mom, keep posting.’ His words and belief in me give me the strength to push forward, reminding me that my journey is not just my own—it’s a reflection of the love and support that surrounds me.
