Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashley Jagmohan
Hi Ashley, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Throughout my life, I have learned profound lessons from transformative experiences—overcoming abuse, addiction, the loss of a child, soul-searching cross-country road trips, and breaking free from the limitations of corporate and capitalist norms. These experiences have shaped who I am today, and they’ve led me to embrace a life filled with purpose, positivity, acceptance, and self-love, anchored in a deep connection to both Earth and Spirit.
Since 2015, I’ve been a devoted student and practitioner of yoga and meditation. What began as a couple courses at Valencia College shifted the trajectory of my life, sparking my passion for holistic wellness and reconnecting me with ancestral practices after rebelling throughout my teenage years.
In 2018, I took a leap of faith. I went on a four-week cross-country road trip, marking the end of an abusive relationship and my departure from corporate America. This was also the beginning of my entrepreneurial journey, as I launched my crystal jewelry business, Crystal and Canvas. Vending at various markets around Orlando, I connected with beautiful souls and shared my love for crystals and their energies. Along this journey, I realized that entrepreneurship mirrors the spiritual path—both are about personal growth, transformation, and overcoming challenges. As I built my business, I confronted my fears, reflected deeply on my purpose and values, and discovered that entrepreneurship is not just about success, but about growth, connection, and embracing the journey.
These experiences encouraged me to let go of what held me back, trust the process, and seek a deeper connection with something greater, bringing resilience and transformation into my life.
For the past several years, I have committed to intentional living, drawing wisdom from my Guyanese heritage, Hindu lineage, and continuous exploration of wellness through extensive reading, retreats, and courses.
In early 2021, I journeyed on another cross-country road trip, this time for six weeks. This initiated a year of learning and self-discovery from what I picked up along the way. I was introduced to and integrated Cha Dao Tea Ceremony as a daily practice and became attuned to Reiki, which deepened my connection to energy work and holistic wellness. The road trip itself strengthened my faith in the path meant for me. These practices became invaluable when, later that year, I experienced the heartbreaking loss of my daughter at seven months gestation due to a birth defect.
A deep love for the Earth has always been at my core, leading me to become a vegetarian at 13, driven by respect for the planet, animals, and my spiritual beliefs. Over the years, this connection has only grown stronger, fueling my passion for adventure and a profound admiration for nature. I’ve had the privilege of learning from diverse lands and their peoples, including those of Peru, Ecuador, Sedona, Mt. Shasta, and Hawaii.
In 2022, I shifted the focus of my business from primarily making jewelry to a deeper desire to help people in new and meaningful ways. This shift stemmed from my experience holding free monthly women’s circles. These gatherings marked the beginning of my journey as a space holder, where I shared the wisdom gained from my life experiences, personal practices, and studies. Through these circles, I created spaces for women to explore self-love, personal development, and spiritual connection. Each meeting was a sanctuary where women could grow, support each other, and cultivate a community grounded in kindness and empowerment.
This endeavor not only deepened my role as a guide but also reinforced my commitment to be of service for the highest good through facilitating meaningful and enriching experiences for others. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of serving hundreds of people through tea ceremonies, hosting retreats, intuitive readings, and speaking at women’s empowerment events.
In 2023, I further deepened my connection to the healing powers of nature through an herbalist program to learn more about plant medicine. Currently, I’m pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Alternative Medicine at Everglades University to expand my knowledge and practice. My mission is to guide others on their journey toward physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual wellness.
Through all my experiences, I’ve discovered that my connection to the Earth and ancient wisdom has given me the strength to learn, unlearn, take accountability, forgive, and free myself from pain. This has allowed my heart, happiness, and authenticity to shine.
As a child, when asked, “What do you want to be when you grow up?” my innocent response was always, “Happy.” This journey has led me home, to embody the essence of my soul, my ancestors, and that pure intention of living a happy, meaningful life. In all that I offer, my deepest wish is to help others find the same. Whether through Tea Ceremony, personalized sessions, or crafting intentional jewelry and art, my passion lies in curating meaningful experiences that nurture peace, empowerment, and inner harmony on the path of personal evolution and spiritual growth.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No, it hasn’t always been a smooth road. As I grew and changed, I lost friends and had to let go of things I once loved. That was tough, but it was necessary for my growth. I also faced challenges with my family when I left behind conventional traditions. They didn’t understand my path and were concerned about my choices. However, as they saw the positive changes in me and the transformation I went through, they eventually came around and started supporting me. Now, they even seek my help and guidance.
These struggles taught me the importance of staying true to myself and trusting the process, even when things feel difficult.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
In my work, I specialize in creating transformative experiences through the art of Cha Dao Tea Ceremony, or “The Way of Tea.” Tea, or Camellia Sinensis, has been revered for thousands of years as a spiritual elixir, originating in Yunnan, China. It’s a simple, natural way to calm the mind and attune ourselves to the rhythms of Nature. As the second most consumed beverage in the world (after water), tea has woven its way into countless cultures, inviting us to slow down and appreciate the sacredness in simplicity.
By sitting with and sipping the essence of nature, we find moments of peace within ourselves and the world around us. The act of drinking tea becomes a gateway for vitality, clarity, grounding, and connection—both with ourselves and the universe.
As an intuitive and adaptogenic plant, it meets you where you are, bringing whatever is needed in that moment—whether it’s cleansing tears, deep presence, clarity, or profound insight. The leaf adapts to your needs, offering the perfect balance of energy and peace.
What I’m most proud of is how this practice has touched others, helping them shift into a deeper sense of presence and awareness. Through my tea circles, one-on-one sessions, and retreats, I’ve witnessed people experience healing and clarity, and it’s incredibly fulfilling to see how the ceremony supports their personal journeys.
What sets me apart is the way I blend this ancient practice with my own experiences and spiritual path. I offer more than just tea—I offer a space for deep introspection and connection. The tea, with its embodied earth wisdom, brings people into a meditative state that allows them to surrender to the mystery and simply listen. In the end, all there is to do is drink tea, and through this process, transformation unfolds.
In addition to my public tea ceremonies, I also host private ceremonies for special events or as personal healing sessions, offering a more intimate experience tailored to individual or group needs.
For those who enjoy connecting with my art and creations, I occasionally update my online shop with new pieces, including my annual moon and astrology calendar (a tradition since 2019), as well as custom jewelry designed to align with personal intentions. My 2025 Moon Calendars are also available at local metaphysical shops, including Mystic Minerals Herbs & Metaphysical Shoppe and Rare Earth Gifts.
If you’re interested in experiencing the power of tea in community, every Second Tuesday throughout 2025, I’ll be at the Veranda in Thornton Park from 7-8:30 PM. Additionally, on the Sunday closest to every New Moon, you can find me hosting a New Moon Tea Ceremony at The Collective in St. Petersburg. I would love to share this beautiful practice with you and guide you on a journey of connection, peace, and presence.
