Hi Barbara, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Magical Moments started after my mother and I attended my cousins wedding in Kansas City, Missouri. We saw the mirror at her wedding and were blown away. We contacted the vendor and just got started. Once we started marketing on Facebook and Instagram, we kind of blew up! Our mirror and its technology are new and exciting so people really have been reaching out to us to try it out. We also joined Wedding Venue Map, which has been a huge success for us and helpful in meeting vendors and venues and coordinators all over the Orlando area. It’s been a wonderful experience.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Learning how to use the software and the camera have been very fun, but super challenging at times. Also, finding the right market for our services as we are definitely a luxury service, but want everyone to be able to experience the mirror. We’ve developed packages so that it’s more available to everyone.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
With our interactive Photo Booth mirror, or better known as a mirror Booth we are super proud to be at any of the events we are booked at because we get to celebrate the best times in people‘s lives. From weddings to birthdays to graduations baby showers… Literally everything. It’s so exciting because guests are so happy and are just there to have fun and create memories, and we get to be a part of that. I’m proud of how far we’ve come and how many people we’ve been able to meet and make new friendships with I truly I’m a shy person, and the mirror has really brought me out of my shell and forced me to grow and be a better communicator, we are set apart from others because they offer an experience, unlike any other. The mirror itself is really cool, but we personalize every single interaction. The picture frame orders are hand designed by me and set to fit each event. Guest can choose up to four of those to work with as they take their photos. We use a canon camera and professional grade flashes which provides epic photo quality compared to others. We are also open to trying new things! From glam photos to standalone photos, Jeff’s video. We really do it all of course we do the fun things like props and backdrops, but our real focus is creating a personalized experience. Guest can draw on an add emojis to their photos while using the mirror which allows them to write messages to the host or just decorate their photos kind of like an Instagram story mode and it’s a really memorable experience.
We’re always looking for the lessons that can be learned in any situation, including tragic ones like the Covid-19 crisis. Are there any lessons you’ve learned that you can share?
