Today we’d like to introduce you to Bethuel Civil.
Hi Bethuel, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I’m a professional photographer and the founder of Bob Photography. I started with a simple passion for taking pictures, and over time, that passion grew into a career. In the beginning, I used to take photos for friends and family, but little by little, I invested in better equipment and trained myself to become more professional. Today, I offer photography services for weddings, birthdays, graduations, maternity sessions, and more. What brings me the most satisfaction is capturing unforgettable moments in people’s lives and helping them relive those memories forever. Every photo tells a story — and I’m proud to be the one telling it.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The journey hasn’t always been smooth. One of my biggest challenges was starting with limited resources — no fancy equipment or studio space. I had to learn everything on my own, from photography techniques to editing and marketing. There were moments of self-doubt, especially when business was slow or when I faced clients who didn’t value creative work. But each obstacle helped me grow, stay committed, and become more professional. Today, I’m proud of how far I’ve come, and I’m still learning and improving every day.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a creative entrepreneur specializing in two areas that complement each other perfectly — professional photography and artisan candle making.
As the owner of Bob Photography, I have been capturing life’s most important moments since 2016 — from weddings and graduations to maternity portraits and special events. My style is timeless, emotional, and detail-oriented, aiming to tell a complete story through every image. I’m known for my ability to make clients feel comfortable and confident in front of the camera, which results in authentic, powerful photos.
In addition to photography, I am the founder of The Blessing Candle, a handcrafted candle brand that blends artistry, quality, and inspiration. Each candle is hand-poured with soy wax and designed to bring warmth, peace, and beauty into people’s homes. My photography background gives me an advantage in branding and presentation — I create visuals that truly reflect the heart of my products.
I am most proud of the fact that I built both of these businesses from the ground up, learning every aspect from creative work to marketing, without giving up during challenges. What sets me apart is my ability to combine two different creative disciplines — visual storytelling and product creation — into one cohesive brand identity. Whether it’s through a photograph that freezes a precious moment or a candle that lights up a room, my work is always about inspiring people and creating lasting memories.
What are your plans for the future?
My plans for the future are focused on growth, expansion, and creating more impact through my work.
For Bob Photography, I am working toward building a dedicated creative studio space where I can offer not only photography sessions but also workshops for aspiring photographers. I envision a space that blends artistry and learning — a hub where people can create, collaborate, and get inspired.
For The Blessing Candle, my goal is to expand distribution both online and in local stores across Florida and beyond. I want to introduce new collections that tell a story through scent and design, and eventually launch seasonal candle lines with unique packaging and limited editions.
In the bigger picture, I’m planning to merge both passions under one creative brand — where visual storytelling through photography and sensory storytelling through candles work together. I also look forward to mentoring other entrepreneurs, sharing the lessons I’ve learned about starting from scratch and building a brand with heart.
I’m excited about these next steps because they all connect to my mission: inspiring people and creating lasting memories, whether through an image that freezes a special moment or a candle that brings warmth and peace into a home.
