Today we’d like to introduce you to Bjorn Johnson.
Hi Bjorn, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I grew up in the foster care system located in Hollywood California. Through abuse and tribulation I held close to music. Music always kept me going another day when I didn’t feel up to it. I have been sex trafficked and taken advantage of in a multitude of ways throughout my life. I moved to Miami in light of the possibility of me signing to a record label that at this moment I cannot name. I was made homeless and abandoned as a result of the trip. I had to resource day in and day out living out of a storage unit. I kept focused and remained steadfast. I kept creating in spite of my obstacles. Then, I finally released my album “Music You Can Feel”. Singing my songs makes me feel alive and people are healed from my music. I’ve learned to express myself in forms of HOUSE, RNB, ROCK, JAZZ, and Hip Hop. My album “MUSIC YOU CAN FEEL” was released the 16th of January. My newest album “MADE YOU LISTEN” will be out January 30th to join the catalog of music that I have out now. Everyday is a new day. My music is available on all streaming platforms. Give my music a listen and you too will see that I love music. I’m undoubtedly a underrated undiscovered talent. I am Bjorn and you will soon be a fan.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Being a Queer member of society coupled with the fact I don’t have any true family has made this road impossibly rough. However you will see that I do not look like what I went through. I live today to spread hope to those without. If I did it, anyone can make their dreams happen. My song resilient is the headline song for “Music You Can Feel”. It is just a glimpse of the day of light within me. I am ambitious and stubborn to failure.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a song writer, producer, singer, and rap performer. I am most proud of my two most recent albums “music you can feel” and “made you listen”. They didn’t come to be easily and are a result of my hard work and unwavering faith in my craft.
What does success mean to you?
Success is defined by the individual. The ceiling of your success can exist if you provide one. Success is the realization that as a human with a mind. You can do anything you put your mind to.
