Hi Carolina, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I´ve always liked everything that has to do with home aesthetics. One of my favorite hobbies, when I was younger, was dreaming up home renovations, or the most efficient or beautiful ways to have my room. That, added to the fact that I have always had a very fine-tuned and meticulous sense of organization, led me to create Sweet Tidy Home a few months ago, when I moved to Orlando from Miami, after having migrated from Venezuela in 2019.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Well, you know what they say, the important thing is the journey, not the destination. Although I am just beginning, and I have not reached the maximum of my aspirations with this beautiful undertaking, I have no doubt that I will achieve it. In the meantime, I try to enjoy the process. The most challenging thing has been being able to balance my time between family, work, and finances. It’s tough keeping up with financial responsibilities while trying to build a business, especially in a country that’s not your own, but I’m so glad I started my journey!
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I´m an interior planner. Sweet Tidy Home is a professional service that offers each home a storage solution in each of its spaces (kitchen, laundry, garage, office, closets). I think one of my greatest attributes is the special attention to detail. I am usually very observant! That, in my work, is a wonderful plus because I try not to miss anything when configuring the functional organization of a space. I hope to be recognized for that as one of the differentiators of my service. Not all spaces and budgets are the same, so I try to adapt gracefully in each case for a wonderful and unique result!
Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
What has been working for me is understanding that every intention has its followers. I have connected with families that feel identified with the order parameters that I propose through my Instagram posts and that leads them to think that I can be a good assistant to reorganize their house. After all, the decision of the order is theirs, I only accompany them in the process of renewing the dynamics at home regarding order. Connecting from the most authentic part has been important. We all experience a bit of chaos at home from time to time.
