Today we’d like to introduce you to Cassidy Pillar
Hi Cassidy, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I am a pediatric nurse by trade but a memory maker at heart. I have a love for traveling and wanted to find a way to capture my adventures in a breathtaking way that I could bring home with me. I began incorporating photography into my travels which eventually led to family and friends recognizing my interest in photo. I began capturing significant events in my family and friends’ lives, from graduations, engagements, newborn photos, and weddings. This snowballed into the most rewarding business that I feel very blessed to have. I believe the foundation of my photography interest, wanting to captures my true-to-life experience while traveling, help me create genuine emotions, true to color images, and a romantic feel to my photos.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It has not necessarily been easy, as I have taken much of my free time from my “9-5” job and poured it into my photography business. Although there have been many long days and late nights editing, I have been SO blessed to be able to do it. I wouldn’t want to be doing anything else with my time outside of being a nurse. It has brought me so much joy to be able to be a part of so many significant events.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I specialize in couples- engagement photography and wedding photography.
During the off season from weddings, I add in family sessions and senior portrait sessions.
The joy I feel when I make a client’s vision come to life is electric! Nothing fuels me than when they say they received a final product that makes them feel confident!
I have heard from many clients that they enjoyed their sessions with me because it felt like they were just hanging out with a friend and having fun with their partner or family members. I’ve had my fair share of experiences with photographers that I can’t get comfortable around. No one wants to feel that way during their session, and I do everything I can to make sure my clients have fun while shooting!
