Rising Stars: Meet Cheryl Lebrun-Fequiere of Winter Park

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cheryl Lebrun-Fequiere

Cheryl, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
It’s a journey that’s been full of challenges but also tremendous growth and purpose.

I became a mother when I was still a teenager, which changed my world completely. While many people my age were focused on school and discovering themselves, I was learning how to care for and provide for a tiny human being who depended on me for everything. It wasn’t easy, especially because life continued to test me with losses and setbacks that were often hard to understand.

But through all of that, my faith became my anchor. Each experience taught me resilience and deepened my empathy for others going through tough times.

Slowly, I realized that my journey wasn’t just about surviving those challenges but using them to help and inspire others. I came to understand that these trials were pushing me toward my true calling – to be someone who could support, uplift, and empower women going through their own struggles and know that God does have purpose for them. Today, I feel blessed to have found that I heard that calling and every step of my journey has prepared me for it.

I share my story with others not just as a testament to what I’ve overcome, but as a reminder that, with faith and perseverance, we all have the power to turn even the most difficult moments into something meaningful.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The road was hard. Struggling with low self-esteem and a deep fear of rejection was a huge part of my journey. For a long time, I allowed those fears to hold me back, and it led me to miss out on opportunities that could have helped me grow. I stayed in situations, both personally and professionally, that didn’t serve me, and even worse, pulled me further from what I now believe God wanted for me.

The idea of stepping out of my comfort zone, risking rejection, or feeling “not good enough” was overwhelming. But eventually, I understood that holding onto those fears was only blocking the path to the life I was meant to live. With a lot of reflection and prayer, I made a decision to see myself through a new lens – one shaped by faith rather than fear. Letting go of that self-doubt and trusting in God’s plan helped me move toward real, purposeful change.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
As the CEO of She’s Onto Something LLC, I’m incredibly passionate about creating a space where women feel inspired to truly discover, understand, and pursue their God-given purpose. Through our Christian blog and shop, we offer resources and tools that support spiritual growth, self-discovery, and faith-filled living. We provide everything from devotionals and guides to faith-inspired products.

Our work is really about transformation and encouragement. I think what sets She’s Onto Something apart is our commitment to authenticity. We don’t just provide resources; we share real, relatable stories of faith, struggle, and perseverance. Many of the tools and insights come from my personal journey and challenges. I want other women to know they’re not alone and that there’s a path forward that is both faith-filled and empowering.

What I’m most proud of is seeing how She’s Onto Something impacts lives. Hearing from women who have found strength, clarity, or a renewed sense of purpose through our resources is so deeply rewarding. It’s not just a business; it’s a ministry and a mission. I’m honored to walk alongside these women as they step into the fullness of who God created them to be, and it’s my hope that She’s Onto Something continues to be a light and a guide for those ready to embrace their journey.

Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
Absolutely! I’d love to encourage anyone reading this to trust that their journey has purpose, even if the path seems unclear. Life can present struggles that make us question our worth or direction, but every experience – the highs, the lows, and everything in between – can lead us closer to who we’re meant to be.

At She’s Onto Something LLC, our mission is to remind women that they’re never alone in that journey. A lot of what I went through has allowed me to be the wife and mother I am today. Remember, you’re capable of so much, and sometimes, the greatest discoveries come when we lean into the unknown and trust in God’s plan.

Thank you for reading, and know that wherever you are in your journey, you’re right where you’re meant to be.
