Today we’d like to introduce you to Cosmic Chaos Cabaret
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Cosmic Chaos Cabaret was started by its 2 producers; Vanity A’Loura and Luci LeClaire in 2023. The 2 best friends met almost 10 years ago now in the way that most non Orlando locals do- working at a Disney park. Fast forward to 2018 when both girls began their burlesque journey, debuting at The Venue (RIP) and immediately falling in love with the craft. With some guidance from their burly mother Aurora Fable, and a few years of experience under their belt, they came up with the idea to start “Cosmic Chaos” a burlesque production company that focuses on a theatrical, immersive approach to burlesque and entertainment.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
There have definitely been struggles along the way! There are so many factors that play into not only booking a show, but a burlesque show specifically that we as producers have had to face. Whether it be fighting against a constantly changing social media algorithm, dealing with very specific laws that affect the burlesque and drag community’s, or simply finding a venue that is possible to book in, there’s always things that challenge us and our business.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Cosmic Chaos is definitely known for our unique approach and style of our shows. Our most popular returning show has been our “Murder Mystery Burlesque” where our guests become a part of the “Clue” like storyline, and discover which of our cast members are guilty! We’ve also had other storyline driven shows such as “Shimmy Me Timbers” where our host Capt Redd (Daddea D. Vicious) follows a magical treasure map, discovering titillating burlesque creatures along the way! This more theatrical style is definitely what sets us apart from other groups.
What does success mean to you?
Success can mean something to different to everyone, but to us it’s the ability to do what we love while also making a positive impact on our community, and our town!
