Today we’d like to introduce you to Damian D Rivera.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I am a professional photographer. I’ve been doing photography for six years capturing moments from e-commerce to weddings, engagements, baby showers, portraits, maternity, fashion, graduations, fitness as well as automotive photography. Sheesh! So many things, right? Haha. The truth is, I find beauty in every category of life and I love to document it. I’m an outgoing person with a broad mindset. Though I was born and raised in Puerto Rico, moving to Florida has expanded my opportunities to travel and grow.
I am always down for new adventures and activities. I love playing sports as well (longboarding is my favorite!). I work hard for what I set my mind too. I am a dedicated person which leads to me being a hard-working hustler. With my journey of photography, I have learned how to make amazing connections with those who I work with. Honesty and respect is my number #1 rule in life and how I run my business relationships with my clients.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has been a roller coaster, we go from the beginning when I did not know anything about photography. To today’s day that I am a professional photographer. Throughout the journey, I worked doing portraits to weddings, events, fashion and also automotive. One of my biggest challenges or the biggest challenge to all photographers is that your not the only one that can take cute pretty photos and created memories. So I can say making myself different from the others by creating my own way of editing shooting and projecting the best customer service to make a difference and be and do me.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I do photography, videography, websites, designs logos and many other things. At the moment, I specialize on my photography and artwork wild on the side, I do my other hustles. I am proud of myself for just risking it and doing what I love which is photography and taking my business to another level by attending conferences and events where I have learned a lot from to be an entrepreneur. I say that everyone is unique and we all have a talent but something that sets me apart from others is that I never give up even when I feel like I have reached the pit, as well as my patience and positivity show off a lot.
What was your favorite childhood memory?
My favorite childhood memory would be back home in Puerto Rico growing up in the mountains with all my family learning about my culture. Growing up doing things outside not having phones or tv.
