Rising Stars: Meet D’Anthony Lorenzo

Today we’d like to introduce you to D’Anthony Lorenzo.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
So, I’ve always enjoyed music since I was in kindergarten but never done anything professional with it till a few years ago. During quarantine in 2020, that’s when I released my first song, and from that point on, it has opened so many doors for me. I’ve met many great people and have great connections; this is really something that makes me happy.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No, definitely not. Nothing has been easy about this, but I never expected it to be. And because this is something I love and I am passionate about, I’ve been able to push through and still pushing through. A struggle that I have had to deal with was the lack of support in my inner circle. That’s always been an issue, it’s definitely gotten better, but it was very hard to deal with. When the 2 most important people in your family didn’t support your goals, to begin with, and doubted, it’s mentally frustrating and kinda made me doubt myself sometimes.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a Singer. Yup, I make pop and Rnb music. I would definitely say I’m known for my voice because growing up I’ve been told that I have a very surprising voice. I’m most proud of my first album, “The Kings Graveyard.” It took me almost 2 years to complete it, and it was totally worth it. What sets me apart from everyone else is that it’s something u wouldn’t expect. Like if you see me or know me, you would not expect anything that I can do.

The crisis has affected us all in different ways. How has it affected you, and any important lessons or epiphanies you can share with us?
Yes. That there are people with very different opinions about the whole crisis.
