Today we’d like to introduce you to Daria Zagon.
Hi Daria, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I am Daria Zagon, a local Central Florida Realtor. I’ve been a licensed realtor in multiple states since 2017. I come with a background of over 10 years of experience leading Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives in the corporate world. I am a certified SRHM DEI specialist and a licensed financial advisor in the State of Florida. I recently left the corporate world to pursue my passion in DE&I/Real Estate to act as a true representative for all. In fact, it was my knowledge of Real Estate, and making the proper investments in my own family that allowed me the freedom to walk away and pursue this career full time! There has been an uneven playing field and everyone has not been given equal access to property ownership and/or housing. As a result, many people have not been given the same opportunities to build wealth through home ownership. Real Estate serves as a significant tool to generate generational wealth from tax advantages to property appreciation. I am here to fight to ensure that everyone I connect with has access to the tools, education, market data, and proper representation to ensure that we can all win and have a home to celebrate in. Just think of me as the Real estate agent for chance that is here to make sure that you too can have access to the life, wealth, happiness, legacy, and home that you deserve.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Absolutely not! It still is not a smooth road. I challenge myself every day to continue to walk in my purpose as I build my brand and business in a new market. Many people question whether I am only here to represent a specific demographic because of my passion for diversity, equity, and inclusion, however, that is not the case. In fact, that solidifies my reason for doing it to shift that perspective and to educate people. As I fuse my passion for real estate and DE&I, it is not meant to exclude anyone but to ensure and move with a Lense that stops many of the roadblocks that keep certain people from even obtaining the resources needed to access the benefits that can come from owning real estate. As a trusted Realtor, I understand that selling or buying a home or any sort of property whether residential or commercial is complex and deeply personal. I recognize and value the trust that my clients place in me, and I will strive to exceed their expectations every day. I understand the market, the players, and all of the variables involved in a real estate transaction. I want to make sure that anyone who trusts me as their realtor feels supported and believes that they have a strong advocate by their side.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
What sets me apart is that I operate from a lens of equity and inclusion. I make sure that I am providing the best experience and options to anyone that I connect with regardless of their background. I give the same energy to a first-time homebuyer, as I would a multimillion-dollar investor. As I mentioned before, I am also certified as a diversity, equity, and inclusion specialist, and I make sure that is ingrained in how I do business.
Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
I am a very spiritual person so my biggest credit goes to God first for positioning me to take a leap of faith to launch into entrepreneurship full time. I also believe that my husband has been my biggest supporter when it comes to inspiring me to do something that makes me happy and that I would find to be fulfilling. In fact, he is also launching a partner design studio called Zagon Zai Studios where he will provide photography, videography, product design, graphic design, and model making. As I am growing my business, he is completely supporting me and simultaneously growing a business that will add tremendous value to Zagon Zai Real Estate.
