Today we’d like to introduce you to David Arroyo
Hi David, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
The life of my son David, a charismatic business owner and breakdancing instructor young man changes suddenly and dramatically after a motorcycle accident suffering a traumatic brain injury. He loses his ability to speak and walk, his business, his independence, but not his faith. The struggles, suffering and adjustments of family members and friends are embrace with faith, hope, and love for one another. The desire to live his reality with true joy and the uplifting and positive spirit of David continues to motivate others through his faith, even without words. Through the devastation experience of a traumatic brain injury we chose to share how we’ve been able to face trials and tribulations with joy. We want to share how we can embrace suffering with hope. We want to share how empowering and healing love is.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
David and his siblings had a path of growth personally and in the entertainment business and this was interrupted after David’s accident. Our lives took a complete turn and changed where we had to reinvent ourselves and figure out what our new norm was to be.

We don’t have a business but we share our life experience through the blog www.arroyocurras.com and with our book: Traumatic Brain Injury- A Faith Journey, where we aim to encourage and uplift the spirits of others that have encountered life-changing events.

Within ourselves, we have a choice to leave a mark and legacy which can enrich others. We have a choice to use our potential to bring together our family, friends, and community by helping one another during our struggles. We have a choice to get to know how true love can enrich our lives and Bring true happiness to our hearts. We have a choice to learn how not to fear suffering and take every moment to grow and make us stronger and better. We have a choice to embrace our struggles instead of running and denying the hidden gifts behind the struggles. We have a choice of walking with Jesus in our journey.
