Today we’d like to introduce you to DeAngelo Simpson.
Hi DeAngelo, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I always knew God had great things for me to do and see. Today I can say He has allowed my life to be an example of his Glory. I’m from Chicago, born and raised, moved to ATL live in Detroit for a bit; everywhere I went, I always took Music and Fashion with me. The goal was to be as creative as I could with the specifics of music and fashion, realizing I was missing something. Growing up and had no clue. It wasn’t about the mindset and principles of what I thought music and fashion; no, I’ve come to this point in my life, living in Florida for the pass five years, realizing it’s about being an artist, period.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The more I matured as a man, yes the road became more smooth. Multiple struggles came my way as though life itself has its course and through many NO’s came an many closed doors, but the biggest struggle was ME.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m a singer, songwriter and fashion designer. I just recently opened an online thrift store called DyeWorld, I also have a printing company, MarsBlack prints I print all type of graphics on T shirts. I’m currently working on an EP called Max out and I’m too excited about it!!! I’m singing and rapping on this project.
Can you talk about how you think about risk?
Yes, I’m a big risk takers. And it happens normally with me taking the lead on something, weather at work or home. I see a need for something to be done that’s drastically different I’m on it!
