Today we’d like to introduce you to Eddie Garrison.
Hi Eddie, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I began my professional journey while attending Pensacola State College, where I earned an Associate of Arts & Science Degree in Multi-Media Technology, graduating in June 2003.
Shortly after graduation, I joined Quick Check, Inc., a SaaS company developing an A.C.H. processing system and an automated, digital return check presentment platform in anticipation of the Check21 initiative.
I started at Quick Check as a data entry clerk and graphic designer but quickly took on a more impactful role, developing the company’s entire training system for its new software, eSoftPay. I also hosted weekly live online training sessions, long before we called it “live streaming.”
Over time, I transitioned into a marketing and sales role, representing the company at major conventions across the country. During this time, we secured partnerships with national brands including Tom Thumb, Piggly Wiggly, and Walmart.
As the company expanded, so did the team and eventually, the ownership decided to sell. With the sale came a restructuring, and after 11 years, my time at Quick Check came to an end.
In October 2014, I relocated to Orlando, Florida, and launched my own marketing agency, Clover Media Consulting.
From 2014 to 2024, I grew the agency from serving a single local restaurant to partnering with more than 25 clients nationwide, including several national and one international brand. This success led to speaking engagements at renowned industry events such as Marketing The Magic (Walt Disney World), PodFest Multimedia Expo, VidFest, Video Marketing World, Digital Marketing Summit, People of Video, Full Sail University Commencement, and Marketing Madness (Orange County Public Schools).
After nearly a decade in business, a wave of client transitions led me to make the difficult decision to close Clover Media and explore new professional opportunities. That’s when I connected with Erin Gordan at Fisher Agency.
Erin and I had known each other for nearly 10 years, having shared the stage at various marketing events. In December 2024, she mentioned an open Account Manager position, and I reached out.
Seven months later, I’ve been promoted to Director of Accounts. In this role, I lead the Account Management team and oversee the development and implementation of our internal SOPs, procedures, and workflows. I also work closely with our clients, guiding them through comprehensive brand and marketing strategies to help drive growth and success.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Owning your own business is both an exciting and challenging experience. The lack of a consistent paycheck, sometimes for months, can create financial stress, self-doubt, and even strain personal relationships.
That said, I truly believe that navigating those ups and downs has made me a stronger, more resilient individual and a better marketing professional because of it.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
