Rising Stars: Meet Fernanda Tineli of ORLANDO

Today we’d like to introduce you to Fernanda Tineli.

Fernanda Tineli

Hi Fernanda, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?

My journey into photography began during my time at university in Brazil, where I studied Literature at a public university. Being surrounded by art and creativity in that environment deeply influenced my perspective and shaped my passion for storytelling. It was during this time that I took my first photography course and discovered how powerful images could be in capturing and sharing stories.

My husband, who is a musician, played a big role in my early experiences as a photographer. I started by photographing his shows, diving into the excitement and energy of live performances. Over time, this love for capturing moments naturally led me to weddings, where the emotions and stories are so beautifully rich and meaningful.

When we moved to the United States, I saw an opportunity to dedicate myself fully to photography. What began as a passion turned into my career, and I’ve now been a professional photographer for 12 years—10 of those specializing in weddings.

Photography is so much more than a job for me—it’s part of who I am. Whether I’m capturing moments for my clients or documenting memories with my own family, I’m always the one behind the camera, preserving life’s stories.

What I love most about photography is the ability to connect with people and create something timeless for them. Weddings, in particular, are such a privilege to capture because they’re filled with genuine love, emotion, and beauty. It’s incredibly rewarding to know that my work becomes part of someone’s history—a way for them to relive those moments for years to come.

Looking back, I’m so grateful for the path that led me here. From university classrooms to concert stages, and now to weddings and family moments, photography has always been a way for me to tell stories, and I can’t imagine doing anything else.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?

The road to where I am today has been far from smooth, but every challenge has shaped me into the photographer I am now. Being a wedding and event photographer is incredibly rewarding, but it can also feel isolating at times. It’s often just you, your camera, and your creative process. There were moments when I doubted myself—whether I was good enough, whether my work was unique enough, whether I could truly make this my career.

One of my biggest challenges was having the courage to pursue photography as a full-time career, especially in an industry that can feel unstable. Weddings are seasonal, trends come and go, and there’s always the pressure to keep growing creatively and professionally. It’s not a “safe” or predictable profession, but I knew it was my passion, and I had to take that leap of faith.

Another challenge was finding my niche. Early on, I explored other types of photography, like travel and tourism. While those experiences taught me a lot about storytelling and working in diverse environments, I eventually realized that wedding photography was where my heart truly belonged. Weddings bring a unique energy and emotion that resonate with me in ways no other type of photography does.

Building something new in a country that wasn’t my home was also a challenge. Moving from Brazil to the United States meant starting from scratch—learning a new culture, building a client base, and establishing myself in an entirely different market. It took time and persistence, but it also taught me resilience and adaptability.

Lastly, balancing the creative and business sides of photography has always been a challenge. It’s easy to focus on the art of capturing beautiful moments, but running a photography business involves so much more—marketing, bookkeeping, client communication, and managing expectations. It’s a constant learning process, but I’ve come to embrace those aspects as part of the journey.

Despite the struggles, each challenge has pushed me to grow and improve—not just as a photographer but as a person. I’ve learned to trust myself more, to embrace the unknown, and to lean into the moments that remind me why I chose this path in the first place: to tell stories, to connect with people, and to create something meaningful that lasts a lifetime.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?

I am a wedding and portrait photographer, specializing in capturing timeless, emotional, and authentic moments. My work revolves around storytelling—bringing out the unique personality and emotions of every couple I work with. Weddings are full of raw, unscripted beauty, and I see it as my mission to preserve those moments in a way that feels true to the people in front of my lens.

What sets me apart is my approach. I aim to make every couple feel comfortable and confident, allowing their natural chemistry to shine. I work in a way that’s unobtrusive yet intentional, blending into the day while capturing all the details that matter—the tears during the vows, the laughter during toasts, and even the quiet, tender moments in between.

One of the things I’m most proud of is the trust my clients place in me. It’s a privilege to be invited into one of the most important days of their lives and to document it in a way that they’ll treasure forever. I’ve had clients tell me that my photos helped them relive moments they missed or feel emotions they didn’t realize they had during the whirlwind of their wedding day—and that’s what makes it all worthwhile.

Another aspect that sets my work apart is the emphasis I place on creating a stress-free experience. I know weddings can feel overwhelming, so I go above and beyond to ensure my clients feel supported and at ease throughout the process. From the first consultation to the final delivery of their gallery, my goal is to make everything as seamless as possible.

Ultimately, my passion lies in creating meaningful connections through my work. Whether it’s capturing a couple’s first look or documenting the love of a family coming together, I’m inspired by the beauty of human connection and the stories that unfold in front of my camera. Photography isn’t just my career; it’s how I honor and celebrate life’s most precious moments.

Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?

I think we’ve covered so much, but if there’s one thing I’d like to add, it’s how much joy I find in my work. Photography isn’t just my profession—it’s a part of who I am.

Every wedding or session is a new opportunity to create something meaningful, and I approach each one with the same passion and dedication as when I first started. It’s incredibly fulfilling to know that my images become a part of someone’s family legacy.

Thank you for giving me the chance to share a bit of my journey. It’s an honor to connect with your readers and be a part of this incredible community.
