Rising Stars: Meet Gianna Znidarcic (Baremä Founder) of Oviedo

Today we’d like to introduce you to Gianna Znidarcic (Baremä Founder).

Hi Gianna, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’m currently a full time student at UCF. Trying to finish my advertising degree. I became a certified Pilates instructor three years ago and have been teaching at a local Maitland studio ever since.
I had started a much smaller business before just reselling vintage clothing; but I wanted to blend my love for Pilates and entrepreneurship.
December of 2024 I was brainstorming with my mom and began to develop the idea of a Pilates gear brand. My goal was and will always be to create great quality Pilates products for busy instructors like myself. Pilates is often gatekept and Pilates gear has a huge barrier to entry with such unrealistic prices.
Baremä was created to take you throughout your entire busy day; workout, home, school, work, home repeat. Without the scary price tag of other Pilates brands.
That’s how and why Baremä was created.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Creating a brand with no funding as a full time student with a part time job.
I love what I do and I love Baremä but starting a brand definitely landed me into some personal debt.
Just after ordering my first launch, I got into a car accident in which my car was totaled and irreplaceable. It put not only a crazy shift into my work schedule but in my motivation to work on Baremä.
I was still creating all of the marketing materials and the packaging for Baremä at this time. It was a nightmare but we came out of the other end luckily!

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a certified Pilates teacher. I teach in studios all around Orlando.
Being an instructor has shown me that I can love what I do and be great at my job as well.
I am proud to have such a great community of coworkers and clients.
I specialize in creating tailored classes for all body types and all ability levels. I love to heal and restore the while challenging the mind and body. Pilates has been such a savior in my life and in the lives of those I teach and work beside.

I am often the youngest person in the room when I am teaching, and this did scare me for a long time.
But, by using my years of knowledge and building a great relationship with my clients, I’ve been able to establish myself as a great teacher. My clients don’t see me as “the young instructor who’s great for her age” they see me as a great instructor who’s is always there to keep learning from her clients and keep things fresh and fun.

How do you think about happiness?
Work, art, creativity, community

I love what I do, teaching makes me happy so it doesn’t feel like work. I love the idea of creating and building something with my own hands. I was always an art kid, so naturally I find any way I can to bring creativity and passion into whatever I do.
My community is such a driving force around me, my family and my friends have such a huge role in the start of Baremä and it is them that I’ll always thank.
