Today we’d like to introduce you to Janet.
Hi Janet, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
XPLRseekers began with nothing more than curiosity, my iPhone camera, and a love for storytelling… tagging along with my husband, Emilio Morena (@xplr.photographer), who’s also a theme park content creator.
From the glow of neon lights at HHN to the quiet in-between moments most people overlook, I’ve always been drawn to capturing scenes that feel. What started as a creative outlet, a way to explore, document, and share the world through my eyes, grew into something so much greater.
Over time, XPLRseekers evolved into a space for connection. It became a way to reach others who see the world through the same lens of wonder, nostalgia, and excitement. Every photo and video I create reflects that spirit… capturing the extraordinary hidden within the ordinary.
This journey has taught me so much about storytelling, creativity, and the power of community. At its heart, XPLRseekers is about more than just sharing the magic, it’s about giving it back.
✨ The Dream:
My dream is to grow XPLRseekers into a platform that not only inspires but gives back to the incredible community that helped build it, our amazing #xplriends. I hope for the day I can surprise a follower with a park ticket… whether it’s to Universal, Disney, or HHN, and say, “Come with me. Let’s make a memory. Let me treat you to the joy you’ve helped me create.”
A day of laughter—on me.
A memory made—because of you.
Until that day comes, I’ll keep filming, creating, and growing. Because this community isn’t just part of my story, it’s the reason I believe this dream is possible.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Has it been a smooth road?
Not at all. Balancing a 9–5, being a wife, daughter, sister, and caring for our fur babies: our cat, Niffler, and our dog, Kara… can be a lot some days. There are nights when I’m editing until I can barely keep my eyes open, and mornings when I wake up questioning if I’m doing enough.
The truth is, the creator journey can be overwhelming. Social media adds its own layer of stress, the constant pressure of views, engagement, and growth can make you doubt yourself. You put your heart into something and sometimes it feels like it disappears into the void. It’s disheartening when the views come, but the follows don’t, or when the algorithm feels like it’s working against you.
I’d be lying if I said I haven’t compared my journey to other theme park creators, wondering if I’m growing fast enough or if what I’m creating even matters. Those moments of doubt can be heavy, they sneak in quietly and make you forget how far you’ve already come.
But then I have my husband, who always reminds me why I started, the joy I feel when I’m behind the camera, the love I have for storytelling, and the incredible people who genuinely connect with what I share. That’s what grounds me and keeps me going. It’s not about being perfect or keeping up with anyone else; it’s about staying true to my vision and finding the magic in the process, even when it’s messy.
Through it all, I’ve learned something deeply important: I truly believe this world holds enough space for all of us to shine, brightly, boldly, and unapologetically without dimming anyone else’s light. Supporting one another doesn’t lessen our own glow. A simple follow, like, comment, or share costs nothing, yet it can mean everything.
So that’s what I choose, to lift others higher, to keep creating from the heart, and to believe that there’s room for all of us to grow and glow together.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Through XPLRseekers, I create immersive storytelling experiences that blend adventure, nostalgia, and emotion. My work lives in that space where creativity meets connection, whether it’s capturing the rush of a theme park ride, the glow of neon lights at HHN, or those quiet, meaningful details that make a place truly come alive.
I’m a content creator who wants people to feel something. Every video, reel, short, or photo that I share is meant to transport you to spark joy, excitement, or even a bit of that childlike wonder we all carry inside. It’s never just about showing a place; it’s about capturing the feeling of being there.
What I’m most proud of is the community that’s grown around XPLRseekers. The #xplriends family isn’t just a group of followers, they’re my online family who share the same love for adventure, storytelling, and finding magic in the everyday. Knowing that my work has inspired someone to explore, create, or see life with a little more wonder means everything to me.
What truly sets me apart is heart. Every piece of content I create comes from a place of genuine passion and intention. There’s thought, emotion, and love behind every frame and edit. I’m not just filming or capturing a photo, I’m building memories, one story at a time.
If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
Consistency with heart. It’s not about being perfect or chasing numbers; it’s about showing up with love for what you do, even on the hard days.
Stay true to yourself. Let your work reflect who you really are and trust that your journey will unfold exactly as it’s meant to.
And always remember… there’s only one you. That’s your magic, and no one else can bring it to the world quite like you can.
