Hi Jevi, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
Kenneth Andrew Roberts was better known by my stage name J.E.V.I pe$ci aka Lonjevity I am an American Independent Eastcoast Hip Hop R&B Artist, Producer Engineer, Singer-Song Writer, Videographer Entrepreneur influencer Owner of Jevipesci productions & a Co-founder of Lvstovdavillainz music group. I am also a tattoo artist & real estate business owner. I grew up in a low-income environment. Inspired by the creativity of the culture, I started using hip hop as a therapeutic outlet. Before the rise of technology, I was a B-boy fascinated with breakdancing, graffiti art & expressive poetry. I began performing at live showcases and selling CDs on street corners while mastering all four elements of the culture, including break dancing, DJing, graffiti, and emceeing. Because of this, I was accepted into Cab Calloway School of the arts in Wilmington, Delaware majoring in art with a minor In dance, teaching after-school breakdancing classes & recording arts. I have since been featured on worldwide mixtapes and global Satellite radio, & I have notable mentions across various renowned platforms.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I overcame hardships with extreme perseverance & passion, adapting to an ever-evolving atmosphere while enduring the systemic challenges of a convicted felon in society battling mental & emotional disorders stemming from early traumatic exposure to a home divided by substance abuse & addiction. My pure will, dedication, & discipline became necessary tools for survival. Hip-hop saved my life, literally. I’ve learned that from pain comes to strength and that true success is measured by the obstacles one has overcome. Being self-made & self-taught, I wanted to give back by presenting opportunities that weren’t available to me, mainly for struggling talented artists in similar situations to mine.
Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
As for my business, Jevipesci Productions is an independent hip hop company specializing in musical artist talent services including recording, videography, engineering, promotion, marketing, and distribution. Founded in 2018, it was created as an outlet for assisting independent artists by providing opportunities to create & share their music with the world. I also wanted to give the artists the chance to have creative freedom to operate without funding from outside major record labels. Being self-made and self-taught, I wanted to give back by presenting opportunities that weren’t available to me, mainly for struggling talented artists in similar situations to mine. For example, early in my career, I would search, find & unify local talent to perform at participating venues which gained me respectful notoriety by positively supporting the community showing young artists another way to express themselves, and providing a positive outlet. I am proud of the fact that although the universe wanted me to give up many times, I never did. If I could give any advice, it would be to never give up on something that you love. I use adversity & tribulations as motivation to create more. Designing my brand, I began my clothing line in 2020 for #Jevipesciproductions & #Lvstovdavillainz through merchandising company “Spring.” I also own an Etsy shop where you can find all of my original acrylic paintings, crafts & artwork. In 2021 I became a licensed Florida Realtor ® & NAR member to also help families & investors find their dream homes or properties, accomplishing another way to give back something I never had.
The difference is I do this all with the same passion that influenced me towards the culture & to inspire others. To pay it forward & carry on tradition brings me joy. Primarily focused on customary perspectives & values I have for the artform in life, not the money like everyone else. The purpose of building relationships helping families & artists while preserving an elemental culture by providing outlets I’ve worked hard to be able to offer & supply in order to advance a cultural lifestyle forward throughout generations to come is my ideology.

I recently released a full-length album titled “Judgement Environment Violence & Instinct,” the meaning of the acronym behind my name J.E.V.I. My group Lvstovdavillainz Released a new album this month titled “Dayvftr2mrw,” both available on all digital platforms. If you love really hip-hop, you will want to add these to your playlists. My new R&B single “Ryde Witta G” just dropped, which has a catchy beach vibe to get stuck in your head & definitely end your summer off right. Ryde Witta G will also be featured on my upcoming 3rd full-length studio project titled “Judgement Environment Violence Instinct 2,” set to drop in 2023 as well. Also, I have live showcase performances in Orlando, Miami &Tampa areas coming up.
