Today we’d like to introduce you to Jordan Inthachack
Hi Jordan, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
When I was 11 years old, I saw someone who was like an older brother to me taking photos and I remember thinking to myself how cool it was, because it seemed like he had a superpower, the way he was able to freeze time with a little device in his hands. So that sparked my interest in photography. At the age of 12, I purchased my first camera, which was a “Canon Eos Rebel T3”. I saved up every dollar I got for about 9 months. When I was at the check-out, all I could think to myself was, I saved up all this money for 9 months, and was it all going to be gone just like that? But that purchase was the best thing I did. It all started out as a hobby, and I was taking photos of everything. My older brother would just randomly say “let’s go!” and he would just take me to a bunch of different locations just for me to take photos of whatever I thought would be good to capture. That meant so much to me, and I’m forever grateful for those moments. About 2 years later that same brother that would take me to shoot photos provided me with an opportunity that would lead to my first ever paid gig. I was so stoked and nervous, but once I started to take the photos and get into the groove, I knew right there this would be something I wanted to pursue as a career. Throughout the years, balancing school and chasing this photography dream taught me alot about myself and what photography means to me. It’s a way I can express myself, share my vision and ideas with the world. It brings me comfort, and it also allows me to help others bring their dreams to life, which is something I’m very passionate about. I love being able to help people who have these ideas but aren’t sure how to bring them to life, so I’ll come in and help them execute the plan. It’s been 14 years on this journey, and I’m just so grateful for how everything has been, from the lows to the highs. All of it has shaped me into the person I am today. I’ve done so many things I never even thought were possible in life; from traveling to different states, meeting athletes and music artists I’m a fan of, building relationships that I will forever cherish, and so many more. I’m very thankful to my family and the support I have. I wouldn’t be where I’m at now without them. Excited to see where else this journey takes me!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road but that’s the beauty of the journey you go on. you’ll face a bunch of bumps along the road that challenge you to be better. Some of the struggles i’ve dealt with along the way are; at times having a lack of creative motivation, trying to get my name out there and my work seen, figuring out my style and lane, and being confident in myself and the work i produce.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a photographer, videographer, and graphic designer, specializing in portrait and concert photography. My proudest moment has to be capturing Lil Poppa’s 2019 tour performance in Orlando, which led to a contract with Interscope Records.
If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
The quality I feel is most important to my success is staying open to learning and staying true to myself. Embracing new ideas and continuously growing allows me to adapt and evolve, while being authentic keeps me grounded and aligned with my values. Additionally, always offering a hand when help is needed not only strengthens my connections with others but also creates an environment where we can all thrive together. It’s about balancing personal growth with meaningful collaboration and support.
