Rising Stars: Meet Karla&Heidi of Orlando

Today we’d like to introduce you to Karla&Heidi.

Hi Karla&Heidi, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Our story really started back in 2004 when we met in 8th grade history class. We instantly clicked and became best friends. Fast forward for 2025, almost 21 years of friendship we have always wanted to share our conversations with other people. We always talked about starting a podcast and put the idea on our 2024 vision boards. Oct 2024 we launched our first episode! We have over 670 plays on Shes Her Lobster and just getting started!!

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Our biggest struggle is not being audio engineers lol we didn’t know anything about starting a podcast and we’ve been figuring it out along the way.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Karla – Karla has worked in customer service / Human Resources for over 13 years and is a people person. I’ve always been able to connect with others and lead teams of people.

Heidi – Heidi is a graphic designer and and artist. She has been a graphic designer since 2016 on multiple creative teams. Also loves connecting with people and leading creative team outings/ connect with other creatives

What matters most to you?
What matters most to us is connecting with other people, especially women in our community. Encouraging others and being a safe space to walk about WHATEVER! Nothing is off limits and we want more women & moms to have that space to feel comfortable with who they are. We are hoping to just be relatable to others & provide some comfort in today’s world. We love central Florida and would love to be apart of hosting women’s events in the future and provide a space for new friendships as well
