Rising Stars: Meet Kasey Schneider of Melbourne, Florida

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kasey Schneider.

Hi Kasey, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Snook & Sprout was born out of equal parts motherhood and motivation. As a busy mom of two energetic toddler boys, I’ve always loved timeless, classic children’s clothing — but I quickly realized there weren’t any local options in my area for buying or selling those styles in a consignment setting. Like many moms, I turned to online buy/sell/trade groups, spending hours sorting, photographing, and posting pieces that often went unseen in the clutter of the feed. It was time-consuming, frustrating, and anything but sustainable.

I knew there had to be a better way. That’s when Snook & Sprout came to life — a web-based upscale children’s consignment boutique dedicated to curating the best of classic children’s styles and beloved boutique brands. My goal is simple: to help other busy moms easily pass along their outgrown treasures and discover new, gently loved pieces they can feel proud to dress their little ones in.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It’s certainly had its smooth moments, but like any growing business, there have been a few bumps along the way. One of the biggest challenges has been expanding beyond our local Melbourne community and introducing Snook & Sprout to new families across Florida — and eventually, across the country.

Building awareness outside of our hometown has taken time, creativity, and consistency. But it’s been so rewarding to watch our little coastal brand grow and connect with moms from all over. Today, Snook & Sprout consignors can ship their items from anywhere in the U.S., and shoppers nationwide can discover the same classic, boutique-style finds that inspired me to start this journey in the first place.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
By day, I work full-time as a manufacturing representative in the plumbing wholesale industry — and in my free pocket of time (as I like to joke), I pour my heart into Snook & Sprout. What started as a small idea has become a growing brand and community of moms who share a love for sustainability and timeless children’s style.

I think I’m best known for creating a space that celebrates both — where busy moms can shop and consign pieces they love, without sacrificing quality or charm. I’m most proud of stepping outside of my comfort zone and chasing a dream that once felt far away. Building a business, designing a website, and growing a community were all completely new to me, but with a little grit and a lot of heart, I made it happen.

More than anything, I hope my boys see that hard work and passion can take you anywhere — that even the biggest dreams are within reach if you’re brave enough to start.

What do you like and dislike about the city?
I truly love Melbourne. It has such a unique charm — a small-town, coastal feel that instantly feels like home. Over the past decade, it’s grown so much, yet it’s managed to hold onto that relaxed, beach-town atmosphere that makes it special.

I love that we’re close enough to enjoy everything nearby cities like Orlando have to offer — from theme parks and concerts to incredible restaurants and travel opportunities.
