Today we’d like to introduce you to Katherine Perdomo.
Hi Katherine, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
We are a couple of Venezuelan immigrants who love cooking. My husband (Marcos) and at the beginning, started as a hobby; we would cook for our friends and serve as hosts at any celebration. Also, we like to travel and try flavors from other countries. One day it occurred to us to merge these experiences and transform the idea into a business. Our main attraction is homemade food ready to heat and eat. We also offer catering services, where our premise is: what do you want to eat?
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Conquer the North American palate, make yourself known in the city, and fill a white space that is dedicated to homemade food, leaving aside chemicals, additives, and industrialization so that it is as healthy as possible.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar, what can you tell them about what you do?
We are both professionals who graduated in our country Venezuela, I’m a lawyer, and Marcos is an accountant. Now we have paused our professional field to give life to new projects, such as the kitchen. In the future, we would love to have our own restaurant.
Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
I dedicate a large part of my free time to dancing Flamenco (Spanish Dance), which is a passion and an inspiration for me.
