Today we’d like to introduce you to Katrina D. Lee-jones
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I had the idea to start my business in 2009 after my mother passed away, and I was laid off at Neiman Marcus in 2008. It all started with that thought and it has been going on since then. Now I am in 2025 and Styles By Katrina is still here. Now in full transparency, I have had to take on full-time jobs to make ends meet for several years, to not sink below water even when it felt like I was underwater, however, I never let go of my business and now I am a full-blown entrepreneur and my business has had it ups and downs throughout the years but I am flourishing now and it’s only because I did not give up. I could have given up 10xs but GOD!
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
No, it has not been a smooth ride. It has been a bumpy road with some pot holes. One struggle has been having consistent clients throughout the year. Another struggle for me was curating a public image/ marketing campaign that potential clients understand the services I offer and why they need Styles By Katrina.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I specialize in transforming my clients’ lives through their wardrobe. I bring out their inner style, the person they want to see and what they want to present to the world! My slogan is “Where Fabulous Replaces Ordinary!”I am known for transforming my clients into the most stylish person in the room. I am most proud of when my clients are transformed into the most stylish person in every aspect of their lives, and everyone around them sees the difference in the way they walk, talk, look, and their confidence is higher and they walk out the home FABULOUS or DEBONIAR every time. What sets me apart from other stylists is that I am a Style Transformer. I change lives, and when you work with me, it’s a memorable experience and nothing I do is transactional with my clients. When you hire me as your stylist I am with you FOREVER!
What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
What I like most about my city is that, even with its growth, there are areas that have a small-town feel, and there are so many new restaurants to try! What I least like about my city is that it is going to take you st least 30-45 minutes to go anywhere, and the traffic is horrible now.
