Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
We purchased Miss Emily’s Bed and Biscuit in July of 2022, and we are truly privileged to continue its legacy. Miss Emily’s has been a trusted name in the Orlando community for over 27 years, providing exceptional dog boarding, doggy daycare, and cat boarding services. Animals and their care have always been a true passion of ours, and we feel incredibly lucky to be part of this long-standing tradition. The joy that our animals and dedicated staff bring us is what makes owning Miss Emily’s Bed and Biscuit such a genuine pleasure.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
We have been incredibly fortunate to be warmly embraced by our clients and the community. At Miss Emily’s Bed and Biscuit, we set a high standard for pet care and strive every day to be the best while continuing to grow. Keeping an open mind and focusing on personal growth helps us stay a step ahead and provide the exceptional care every pet deserves.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’ve worked with animals for over 20 years in a variety of roles, including veterinary care, animal shelter work, humane law enforcement officer with the Humane Society, In-home pet sitting, and now Miss Emily’s Bed and Biscuit an animal boarding facility. Our love, compassion, and expert knowledge set us apart and allowed us to provide the highest level of care for every pet that comes through our doors.
What was your favorite childhood memory?
My favorite memory from childhood is of my mom rescuing injured animals — from frogs and birds to stray dogs, cats, and even snakes. Her compassion and caring nature taught me the true value of helping animals in need. That early example of kindness is what inspired my lifelong passion for animal care and continues to guide everything we do at Miss Emily’s Bed and Biscuit today.
