Rising Stars: Meet Michael Mitchell, Christian Mitchell and Mike Odeyemi

Today we’d like to introduce you to Michael Mitchell, Christian Mitchell and Mike Odeyemi.

Hi Michael, Christian and Mike, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Rage Therapy was formed by a group of friends who mutually decided that they wanted better for themselves in life. We have always had a great entrepreneurial spirit, so when the opportunity presented itself due to an idea originating from one of our members we couldn’t help but rise to the occasion. Due to our professional and personal experiences in the field of mental health, we saw the importance of being able to provide a place in the community that presents a safe environment to release frustrations in a fun and exciting new way.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The obvious obstacle we experienced as a team was the breakout of Covid-19. The virus delayed our business process for over a year and hindered our ability to move forward in opening a location in our home state of MD. Due to the great uncertainty of current world events surrounding Covid-19 our team had to re-evaluate what our business plan would be for future operations. Thus, the decision to relocate our business to the Orlando region transpired. We were very attracted to the heavy tourist population of central Florida.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
We look forward to familiarizing the general public with the concept of a rage room. Our mission at Rage Therapy is to create an entertaining environment where people can release their anger by destroying objects within a room. Individuals will be placed in a safe area and supplied protective equipment where they will destroy items without the concern of cleaning up their mess afterwards.

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
We are optimistic about the future of rage rooms and other novel entertainment businesses. Providing an outlet to have fun and release pent up frustration in a controlled environment is an attractive and exciting activity that many people will want to experience.
