Today we’d like to introduce you to Nancy Ludin.
Hi Nancy, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My family spent the Passover holiday with cousins in New York City- one of whom was a Holocaust survivor, name Ernie Michel, who worked as the Vice President of United Jewish Appeal and raised funds to enhance the quality of life for Jews around the world. He shared fascinating stories about his travels and the leaders he met from Israel.
When I was a senior in college, I heard about the Federation Executive Recruitment and Education Program- a scholarship for graduate studies that placed people in leadership roles in the Jewish Federation (the same organization that Ernie worked for)
For the past thirty-five years, I have worked as a Jewish communal professional.
Today, I am the CEO of the Jewish Pavilion of Central Florida. We enrich the lives of seniors in elder care communities.
I am happily married with three grown sons.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
While there are always obstacles, I feel very fortunate that most of my career moves have been beneficial. I am lucky to have the support of a loving family who has helped me navigate difficult situations along the way.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
My expertise is in fundraising, marketing, and program development. I have helped grow the Jewish Pavilion from a tiny operation to a well-known charity in the Orlando area. We have increased the number of seniors served each year. I am very dedicated to my work and I always go the extra mile.
What does success mean to you?
To me, success in life is a balance between career and family time with time for friendship and community service.
