Rising Stars: Meet Our Paradise Falls

Today we’d like to introduce you to Our Paradise Falls.

We’re so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Our family began on this exciting new adventure for our love and passion for Disney. We always documented and make short clips of our son, Conor and his experiences while at Disney World. This was years before we ever considered having a Youtube channel. Creating memories of our son made it magical for us to go back and look upon the happy times we shared together as a family. When Covid hit and everyone was staying home we thought, it would be a fun idea to create a youtube channel to share our Disney memories with the world. During this time there was a lot of negative energy and high stress levels, so we wanted to share positivity and happy thoughts by sharing our love of Disney.

We started creating videos for our channel, Our Paradise Falls, We chose this name for our love of the movie UP. Our family loves adventure and taking leaps into new challenges, as did the characters in the movie.

March of 2020 is when all of the Disney Parks closed. This was a tough challenge for us because we needed new content to share on youtube. Like the characters in the movie “UP” we needed to branch out and create new adventures for our family. We started with our family videos of us in Disney World and as we started uploading and our numbers started to grow we expanded our vlogs into other attractions in the state of Florida.

Today, we are extremely close to obtaining 1600 subscribers and we vlog the Disney Parks every couple months. We have produced 94 videos and counting. We put out at least 1 video a week if not more. It’s an amazing feeling sharing our family adventures with the world.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
In the beginning, getting comfortable talking on camera was a huge challenge that we are still to this day learning how to overcome. Editing was also a big challenge for us, it can be time consuming. In our specific field, meaning Disney content, we struggled with how to stand out from other channels trying to produce the same content as our channel. We saw positive engagement in the beginning of creating our channel and then it came to a very slow crawl of gaining subscribers and natural engagement, we are still finding new ways on how to be original and keep the engagement of our subscribers.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
We are a South Florida family of 3 who loves sharing our family adventures. We vlog Disney World. We also vlog Disney restaurants, hotels, different things to do inside the parks. We are known for our family adventures inside the Disney Parks and outside of them, vlogging many different tourist spots in South Florida. We love having our son Conor as the star our of channel. Conor loves to share his likes and loves inside the parks as well. What sets us apart from other channels is having Conor give his input. You can watch our channel as a family knowing your going to be hearing and seeing different aspects of Disney through the eyes of a child, or you can watch it as adults getting our perspective which is different from children.

So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
We are on many different platforms, our main platform is Youtube, but we are also on Instagram, Facebook, and another platform called Newsbreak. On our previous adventures we have arranged meet ups with other Disney Youtube channels, creating memories with them as well. We also collaborate with other channels doing live streams, and also joining Disney merchandise box swaps. If other Youtube channels want to collaborate with us they can contact us via email, Ourparadisefalls2013@gmail.com. They can also reach out to us on Instagram and Facebook.
