Tier-1 Pro Inspections is proudly veteran-owned and operated by myself, Sean Richards, and my wife Sarah.
As a former U.S. Army Sergeant Major and Tier-1 Operator in a U.S. Army Special Missions Unit, the core of Tier-1 Pro Inspections can be summarized by what made me successful as an operator in our country’s most selective special operations unit:

After 20 years of service with the U.S. Army, my family and I settled in Winter Springs, Florida to be closer to Sarah’s extended family, all of whom are life-long residents of Central Florida.

During my transition out of the military, I decided to apply the same professional experience, personal commitment, and dedication that made me successful in the military to becoming an InterNACHI Certified Professional Inspector, receiving my Florida State Home Inspector License and launching Tier-1 Pro Inspections.

Building and maintaining genuine relationships with clients, investors, brokers, realtors, and real estate agents are very important to us at Tier-1 Pro Inspections. I am always committed to providing a Tier-1 level of service and professionalism to all my clients.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The transition from a very fast-paced military life to the home inspection industry has been a slight challenge. The military does a great job of setting you up for success with their transition programs, but mentors along the way have made that transition as seamless as possible for me.
Transitioning to Florida and launching a business shortly after was definitely challenging.
The biggest obstacle we have faced so far is building a solid realtor-referral network by first educating them about our company, the value we can bring to them and their clients, and then earning their trust over time.

We specialize in providing Residential Home Inspection services for homebuyers and sellers throughout Central Florida.
This includes providing buyer/seller home inspections and Wind Mitigation & Four Point Insurance Inspections.
Our three main focuses for the company are:
1) Client Education & Non-Alarming Communication – Clear and effective communication is our goal
2) Being a Tech-Foward Company – We are always striving for efficiency and streamlining our client/agent experience
3) Providing Exceptional Service at a Fair Price – We aim to provide the most value for our clients with our unparalleled service and included warranty
Additionally, we have also partnered with local businesses in an effort to be a one-stop shop for our clients, so we can provide ancillary inspection services, such as Termite Inspections, Septic Inspections, and Water Testing.
Unique to our business is that we can offer Engineer-Certified Tie-Down and Addition Inspections for clients with Manufactured Homes.
Can you share something surprising about yourself?
We understand the value of community involvement and giving back to those in need.
As a company, we have committed to donating 2% of our sales right back into our community.
This quarter we have committed to donating to The Kids House of Seminole County – an advocacy center for victims of child abuse. It’s our way of giving back and hopefully impacting the lives of those around us in a positive way.
