Rising Stars: Meet Vikka Leoni

Today we’d like to introduce you to Vikka Leoni.

Hi Vikka, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I left Venezuela and came to the United States about 10+ years ago, I really wanted to keep working on my art and photography so I attended Full Sail. I worked on some commercials and indie films as a camera operator and as an assistant camera for a long time before deciding to focus mostly on photography. I’ve focused on portrait and concert photography since.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Being an immigrant and having to deal with the change of scenery, culture, and basically just having to start from scratch.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
My specialty or the area I love the most about what I do is concert photography. I don’t have the fanciest of equipment or lenses but I try to get the most with what I have. You can usually find me in the pit at Will’s Pub.

We love surprises, fun facts, and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
I am also working on a clothing and accessories brand with a good friend of mine, Keegan Berry, we both like to draw and create with our hands so keep an eye out for that.
