Walleska, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
After being furloughed from my career of 14 years back in March 2020. My husband brought up the idea to make candles. At the moment, I thought it was a funny suggestion but after a few weeks of researching all things candles, I gave candle-making a try and I began perfecting my newfound business venture.
In October 2020, we officially launched 3 Daisies Candle Co. LLC. The brand name stemming from our three daughters (Nevaeh, Janiyah & Jaelyette). Today, you can find our Hand-Poured, Natural Soy Candles at La Boutique by La Femme Du Fromage, located on the second floor of the East End Market in Winter Park, FL. Or meet us in person at one of our pop-up shops throughout Central Florida.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Candle-making definitely has its challenges. As a perfectionist, I have to remember not to be hard on myself. To be candid, I’m thankful for resources like FaceBook groups and YouTube videos that helped me along my small business venture.

All 3 Daisies Candles are hand-poured in small batches and not massed produced. We take great pride in our work and create our candles with our customer’s health in mind. Our candles are made with 100% all-natural soy wax. Since soy is vegetable-based, it is non-toxic, which allows for our candles to burn clean and longer than most, with zero petrol soot when burned correctly. Our candles are infused with Clean, 100% phthalate-free Fragrance Oil’s which do not contain Carcinogens, Mutagens, Reproductive Toxin, Organ toxins or Acute toxins so you can rest assured your 3 Daisies Candle is safe.
3 Daisies is known for and set apart by the Brown Amber Glass Jars we use, which is a customer favorite that can be up-cycled/recycled when done. It gives any space a trendy & modern aesthetic. We are most proud of the support & love we have received from our Central Florida community!
If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
A characteristic of mine that I can give credit to would be determination.
