Today we’d like to introduce you to Tirajeh Mazaheri.
Hi Tirajeh, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I studied engineering at the University of British Columbia specializing in system controls and hydraulics. From there, I worked at a top-tier engineering firm in Downtown Vancouver (Goldcorp – the largest gold mining engineering firm in North America, now called Newmont).
I realized I didn’t love the 9-5 lifestyle and decided to pursue a career in a field I was actually passionate about: Real Estate. It was a terrifying switch from working at one of the most prestigious engineering firms to starting from the bottom in a whole new field, but I was up for the challenge if it meant loving what I do everyday.
I started my Real Estate career as an administrator and learned all the ropes from contract writing to negotiations. After about one year I decided to start working as an independent agent and to grow my business off my social media platform, specifically Instagram. I worked dilligently for several years to grow my business, and the hard work paid off when I was ranked the number 1 Realtor in all of Vancouver and British Columbia (from 24,000 agents) for both 2020 and 2021 on social media. In 2020, I started my Real Estate team: Vancouver Elite Real Estate Team, and my brokerage, Coldwell Banker Prestige Realty now has over 70 agents working at it as well. Today, I specialize in working with developers on luxury projects ranging from multi-family highrises to single-family mansions.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Definitely a lot of bumps along the way, but you grow the most by learning from your failures. Everyone told me that social media wouldn’t help me to grow my business and that I was wasting my time, but I did not listen to any of them. I worked dilligently to build my following and have been voted not only as the #1 Realtor on Social Media in British Columbia, but also as one of Vancouver’s Top Female Iranian Entrepreneurs. I have further been interviewed by the Canadian Press, CBC, CTV, Globe & Mail and Radio Toranj on over 10 different occassions about my expertise in the Real Estate market. To date, I have received countless contracts from developers worth hundreds of thousands of dollars to market and sell their pre-construction developments all around Greater Vancouver.
Furthermore, being a younger female in this male-dominated industry has its own challenges. I have worked ten times harder to prove my capabilities in comparison to my male counterparts, and I have done so by gaining knowledge and experience in every aspect of the real estate market. Knowledge speaks volumes. Consistenly being up to date on all property sales, new listings & market forecasts has allowed me to give the best advice to my clients about when and how they should buy / sell their properties. As a result, my team has consistently ranked in the Top 10 Real Estate Teams list for all of Canada.
